Rosa rugosa is a tough sprawling rose that spreads by suckering. It can form a dense hedge in no time. If space is at a premium or you are worried about it being invasive, we suggest planting it in a very large container. We like its lightly-scented, pale pink to white flowers, but really grow it for the exceptional size of its vitamin C rich hips. They can be used fresh or dried and make great tea and jellies. Dried they can also be used in craft projects. Or add them fresh as part of a project like our Herbal Wreath. |
