Levisticum officinalis Lovage

With its unique celery like flavor, Lovage can be an important herb to add to your culinary garden. Unlike celery, Lovage is a perennial. And, while Lovage does not make a wide stem like celery, it does make a consistent supply of dark green very flavorful leaves which can be added to soups, stews, dips and sauces. The fresh leaves hold up well to prolonged cooking. Leaves can be dried or frozen. Dried seeds can also be toasted or used ground.

Lovage makes a great addition to either our  Kitchen Herb Garden Six Pack or our Gourmet Herb Garden Six Pack.
