Growing & using Fred Boutin Lavender

From 1968 to 1979 Fredrick C. Boutin was a botanist at the Huntington Botanic Gardens in Pasadena, California. After he left there, he came across a previously unnamed Lavandin, and proceeded to clone it. Thus, Fred Boutin Lavender was introduced to the world in 1984 and has become a long stemmed favorite among Lavender collectors.

Fred Boutin Lavender makes a great addition to both our Zone 5-11 Fragrant Herb Garden Six Pack and our
Crafter’s Herb Garden Six Pack.

You might try Abrial Lavender which is more vigorous and similar in growth and flower color.
